LWA.{Dev} the return…
So, my journey into IT which began many years ago with Microsoft has now reached a point and definitely gone full cycle, full circle, 360 degrees….
From building PC’s and laptop repair modifications too becoming an Apple iOS/Mac-Os Technician to working with Linux & Android Chrome OS to moving more into cloud based infrastructure offerings in Microsoft Azure & Office 365 solutions so, with that being said i am definitely moving in the direction of “Microsoft Super Fan-Bwoy“.
With my change in directions regarding iT career, plus the fact that I really love my “Surface Duo” & “Surfacebook” just for Microsoft’s innovation and thinking, and trying something new, and there partnerships with Samsung, Google definitely keeping things moving forward for productivity, however I have to give full credit to the “Surface Team” and everyone has worked hard in developing, designing, creating these Surface line products inside of Microsoft as i have been a user for many years and I absolutely love it!.
Products & Services
Now, there are many reasons for this scenario and its something which is not surprising to me really. I myself as well as other consumers enjoy Microsoft hardware and software products for a genuine personal and work related experience, I like the direction Microsoft is taking and all the current integrations with Linux platform in the form of “Sub System for Linux” which is a nice touch when accessing servers or virtual machines inside a windows laptop or desktop and being able to manage cross-platform development inside a very large ego system which is geared towards business.

iT Tech Industry
As many of you know I worked for apple partnership company for sometime as i helped clients and consumers, worked and achieved my iT skill set in iOS & Mac-Os hardware & software, networking, devices etc…
I used apple products almost exclusively on a daily basis but have always found myself in doing development in both software circles. But since 2013 onwards i believe apple has being shifting towards the more consumer based markets while Microsoft has continued with developing there ever growing business platforms of which i have found myself seriously gravitating towards and with there innovative products “Surface duo” “Surface Pro 8” “Surface Laptop Studio” I think its time to place my efforts and consumer commitments inside the Microsoft camp.
I do like apple products for what they represent in this current climate of technology and I would honestly say that, when they put a product out there it is very well implemented & designed, and it works very well indeed, and is quite seamless in its overall approach which increases customer retention, and i also have an iphone for work purposes due to reliability.
But, I do have a “Microsoft Surface Duo” 1st gen and I think Microsoft hasn’t received enough credit where it is due inside the mobile phone space ie Android software & Microsoft hardware, the dual screen implementation is a very clever design from the Surface Team yet again and having used this product and still using the 1st Gen, I didnt feel the need to purchase the 2nd gen although I am seriously considering it now as i really appreciate the way it works and it defining usability from a consumer standpoint.

Microsoft Vision
I love tech, software, virtualization, servers, managing cloud infrastructures and running Linux environments and over the last few years, Microsoft has taken some intuitive turns inside the software market i.e including direct Linux integration via “WSL2” Windows Sub System for Linux inside a windows 10 hardware/software environment which is incredible, and to continue to build, develop, sustain, and release features inside this modern partnership with the help of platforms like “GitHub” of which Microsoft also acquired some time ago now just helps solidify there every growing vision with the software roles and future of where we are right now, how things are developing and changing for the future and what seems possible with software algorithms and Ai.

Its Time for Cloud
This is a great time to move too the cloud infrastructure, develop, build, deploy Azure environments for yourself, and other businesses or clients and consumers and make productivity, ideas work for you. I plan to focus my attention and time into more Azure cloud, Microsoft 365 products and services while understanding the changes in today’s climate and taking advantage of Microsoft’s new directive in focus based certifications.

So, what’s the deal now?
Microsoft 365 for Windows is moving into the cloud services, where you can access all on-prem with VM’s running & managing everything for you and you can virtually have access to Microsoft based applications and product services while using any device capable of accessing exactly what you need when you need it on the go. This is the direction that they are taking and its a bold statement for the future…
A brand new version of Windows is due and scheduled for release later this year aka “Windows 11” however this has started some topics for debate as consumers are somewhat confused as the announcement of windows 10 having a EOL date within the next 5 yrs leaves a lot of worry for some users but benefits for small to large businesses as the promise of re-vised software coming from Microsoft is looking to move forward into the future of products & services which will help empower those users of the platform in more capable ways.

Windows 11
I have been testing the developer beta version of this software since it first arrived however, my test machine of choice was a portable one “Microsoft Surface Go” 1st gen 8gb/128 ssd and my take on it so far has been very positive up to this point.
Now getting too the stage of running development & personal projects on such a portable device shows me that although my specific test machine was not 100% fully supported via the website specifications, it did however have TPM2, SSD drive, 8gb ram and a very power conservative processor to make using this device on this new platform quite an enjoyable experience and i haven’t found anything to which i have found major criticism at all.

Its early days i know and many changes are foreseeable in the future of this new pre-release, change for some is quite a scary prospect but for others not so much. This is software after all, and change is always inevitable at some point or other so i say lets embrace the change and make way for new experiences and look forward to better things to come.
Windows 11 has now been released since October/November 2021. I have had an excellent experience in running beta versions and also installation on unsupported devices and i am very happy with the experience so far and look forward more innovations coming from Microsoft and the Surface Team.
